Kids Kayak Camp
Camp is offered in partnership with PenMet Parks. Get ready for an amazing four days of water adventures!

Monday – 10:00 – 3:00
Become familiar with kayaks and kayak equipment, safety procedures, and basic strokes. Take a guided tour around the harbor and explore the local marine life. Picnic on the dock and then off to Kelly’s for Ice Cream.
Tuesday – 10:00 – 3:00
Emphasizes the skills and safety procedures introduced on the previous day and new strokes to help students maneuver their kayaks, discussions about healthy harbor habits will help students understand their role in keeping the harbor a wonderful place. Use your new skills on a paddle to the historic Gig Harbor Light House and Sand Pit for fun and games on the beach.
Wednesday – 10:00 – 3:00
Students will devote time on their stroke review and be taught the basics of weather and water conditions. Picnic in the park and enjoy the day with everything Gig Harbor has to offer, including a fun and exciting scavenger hunt.
Thursday – 10:00 – 3:00
At 10am, join us with Captain Tom of Destiny Tours for a one-hour cruise on an authentic, restored U.S. Navy boat. Then take a field trip to the Harbor History Museum to explore the rich heritage of the people and life on the Gig Harbor Peninsula. Follow the museum with a picnic at a nearby park and then on to Pedal Boat, Stand-up Paddleboard, and canoe races.
